A brief student orientation to CAS services is available at any CAS location upon instructor request. Complete this brief form to submit a request. A Learning Resource Specialist will contact you to make specific arrangements.

Some instructors may assign or offer extra credit for specific workshops. Verification of workshop completion will be provided by Miya Clark (clarkmi@92ujn.com).
Reserving Rooms in CAS
We provide group study rooms on Main Campus and at the Glenn County Center. Students
who would like to reserve a group study room can contact Amy Hughes, hughesam@92ujn.com.
Chico Center students can reserve a group study room in the Library. Dan Buzan is
the contact for CHC study rooms: buzanda@92ujn.com.
Faculty Recommendations
CAS hires student employees as Tutors, SI Leaders, and Front Desk support every semester.
Qualified applicants are enrolled in at least 6 units and have a 3.0 GPA. To apply
as a Tutor or SI Leader, students must also submit a recommendation from a Butte College
instructor.

To access all services, students register for EDUC 310, which is free, non-graded, and no-credit. The control number for Fall 2024 is 3273.
Test Proctoring
CAS currently offers test proctoring on Main Campus Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00
pm. Contact Amy Hughes (530-895-2808) for more information. CAS does not offer test proctoring during finals week.
Proctorio is an online testing service provided as part of the Online Education Initiative.

Academic Coaching
Learning Resource Specialists, faculty members in CAS, are available to meet one-to-one with students, addressing learning strategies to support their academic success.
Instructors can refer students personally or through the Early Alert process; students can self-refer by coming to CAS and requesting to meet with a Learning Resource Specialist.
